Coop's First Day of Kindergarten!

It's finally here!!  Six years (almost) in the waiting.  He was ready for this day and so was I!  He was ready to hear about Kindergarten, and I was so excited to see him in a new environment.  I had and have no doubt he will enjoy all that is to come this school year!

I wanted to get a close up picture of those handsome blue eyes.  He matched the door too... ironically!

Here he is showing me how HEAVY his school bag is with all his supplies!

Then a quick pic of him wearing it, but he wanted the picture to show the front if his backpack...Whatever works to get him to let me take more pics I say!!

And here we are...  He was excited I was nervous, proud, a little sad... But mostly just proud of the wonderful little man I think he is.  From here we went out to the school yard and waited for the bell to ring.  Once it did, he instinctively knew it was time to find his teacher.  A hug and hi-five and he was gone.  I walked away crying, glad he didn't see me.  Again, just proud, and a little sad.  I am excited to watch him grow up, and learn all that he needs to learn to be great in life, but I can't help but tear up a bit thinking about how just yesterday he was 7 lbs 6 oz and laying in my arms....

After school I met him as he walked around the corner out of his classroom in his little Kindergarten class line, with his little backpack on, and one great big smile when he saw me.  A big tight hug, and "I had a good day" are the first two things I got from him.  As we were walking out he said goodbye to his new best friend Adien.  Glad it doesn't take him long to make friends.  On the way home he told me about his teacher Mrs. Bloch (pronounced Block) and how nice she was.  What a cute Kindergarten teacher name I say!

Omaha Zoo 2012

Kylee driving Coop around in the jeep and Coop just chillin' like villian....

Me and my favorite little man!  My favorite Kylee peep'd in there too!

On a mission in the rain forest!

Family pic with the parrots.  The guy who offered to take the pic was serious about getting those birds in the picture!

Snaaake!!!

Playing in the ever famous tree roots... I can remember those as a kid coming to this rain forest for the first time.  I love that while the Omaha Zoo changes every year, some things stay the same and my kids will have some of the same memories I did as a child.

First time on the sky ride for all four of us.

Kylee does a spot on sound of this train.  Ask her about it sometime...

Having fun in the mist...

Kylee and her polar bear!!!

Rally caps, long wait for the train ride.....

Silly faces....

Smiley faces... almost...!

Figure 8 Races at the Lancaster Co Fair

We went to the Figure 8 races at the Lancaster Co Fair.  Beautiful night to sit outside and watch all the fun!  It can be so nerve racking to watch these cars try to dodge each other.  It's impossible to pick out what car is in the lead...  Unless you are Cooper!  He waits until just before the checkered flag is handed to the winning car to pick "his" car!  Haha!

Quick pic!  Had to get Kylee's little piggy buns on camera!  I love them!!!

Coop and I taking a pic and Coop really "cheesin" out!!
After the races as we were leaving a family handed us there bracelet for the carnival rides! How lucky we were to be walking out with them.  It made it so we only had to buy one bracelet $25....  SO for 2 hours both kids got to ride any ride they were tall enough for as many times as they wanted to.  It was the first night of the fair so there were no lines either!  What wonderful memories I have of watching their little faces on the rides.  I am such a blessed Momma!
