An Afternoon at the Sunken Gardens

This was back in June before we knew we would be getting married here.  We decided to get some cold drinks and head to the garden to check the flowers and fish.  It was super sunny and hot, but not knowing the weather we were going to have in July, upper 90's was nothing!
We started out checking out the gold fish.  You can't feed them, but they are still fun to look at!
I was trying to convince Kylee if she left her finger in the water long enough the fish would give her a kiss...  She tried but just wasn't patient enough for the kiss.

My three favorite people!

Ready and wishing she could go for a swim!

No fish in this water.  It is more of a wishing well.  However she was pretty interested in the pennies, and pretty sure she was allowed to collect them!

Coop checking out the money farther away.  A.K.A. maybe mom won't notice if I grab some pennies out if I am way over here!

So bright but we tried for a pic anyway!

Momma and Coop!

Coop and J checking out the flowers, Kylee pulling up the rear!  (That's Kylee for ya!)

Follow the "red" brick road!  At least that's the game we played.  Coop was sure to point out every time Kylee cheated by cutting through the grass!

We had a good afternoon.  Great way to get out and explore new things.  It's a free park to visit and makes for great pics.  Looking forward to making it an even more special place by having our wedding there now.  We are hoping to visit a few more times before the wedding and get the kids familiar with how the wedding ceremony will go.

Trying to Beat the Heat!!

It's been SO HOT!  We've been trying to find creative ways to play outside! Last week we got the water table out and also bought some squirt guns and a new sprinkler!  We ended up having hours of fun!  Here are a few pic's from the night...  With no end of the heat in sight I am sure we will have many more water play days and nights!  Enjoy (=

Our 4th of July FUN!

Our day started out with a little old fashioned parade in Waverly.  Reminded J and I both of the parades we had growing up in small towns.  The fire truck sirens were so loud!  As you can imagine Coop loved it, and Kylee could have lived without the noise.  The parade was about 45 minutes long and really pretty entertaining!  The kids got to see the Shrine cars and sports cars, and of course picked up lots of candy loot.  The bags shown below were completely loaded when we were finished!!

Kylee covering her ears...  Poor beans...!

Coop liked this older mustang cop car.

Some of the fire trucks cooled us off by spraying water.  Look to the left and you'll see Coop and Kylee cooling off!

Kylee and mommy cooling off.

All dressed and ready to go out for the 4th!  God Bless America!

We had quite a stash of fireworks at Dave and Robin's house!  I wish I would have taken a picture!  Coop and the boys started out lighting the smaller fireworks before the sun went down.  This was Coop's first year getting to light a few on his own.  He had a lot of fun!

The boys ready to pick out the next one!

Look at the concentration!

It was worth it..!

Sitting back enjoying the show...

The Bean and Mark (aka No No) haha!

The girls played together most of the night, but was finally able to get the three of them together.
