Cooper got to take a field trip to Vala's this year. I was so lucky to be able to help his class for the day. The kids got to ride a bus there, then we broke up into groups of 2 and 3 and got to do our own exploring. We also got to pick out a pumpkin. That were most of the pictures came from. The rest of the time we were too busy to take pics!

Pancakes, Fire Trucks and Face Painting.... =)
We joined our local volunteer fire department for breakfast and other fun activities! This is an annual event they hold every year and ask for donations only.
Kylee is getting her face painted here. She asked to be painted as a monkey! It suits her well!

Kids are viewing the inside of an ambulance. The EMT's left a lot of the real equipment in there. It was fun for them to get to plan with it all hands on!

Safari Park Goodbye Until Next Year!
We took a final trip to the safari park for 2012. They had all members come out for a fun filled day. This park, as I have mentioned before is simply amazing. I love all that there is to explore here. Especially on member day. They had lots of tables and booths set up with extra learning tools for the kids to play with. Animal noises and paw prints, all kinds of animal skins... Very cool. This time we also got to visit the safari hospital. There were a few animals in there. Most of them from the Omaha Zoo. They actually send a few there for housing in the winter months.

Pumpkin Fun!!
Another annual visit to the pumpkin farm in Lincoln. Small little farm on 84th street that is super low key and low traffic. We have gone there the last three years to pick out pumpkins.

The kids did a great job cleaning them! Carving them, J and I handled. It was a lot more work than I remember from being little!
Here they are all lit up. Cooper picked out the bat and Kylee the flame face.
The next day, we decided to make our faces on the rest of the pumpkins. I think the kids have more fun with this anyway. It is a lot less work too! This is right outside the front door. We left our carved pumpkins in the house so that the cold weather doesn't ruin them!
